Regardless of location, expertise, or division, you’ll find that all of our teams share some important personal qualities. The Saint-Gobain Attitudes reflect both our heritage and our ambition to help create living places and improve daily life. Diversity and Inclusion:
The Fuel Behind our Fire

At Saint-Gobain, we realize that diversity and inclusion is a concept as broad as the universe we inhabit. Our diversity—of people, businesses, locations, expertise, and experience—is one of our greatest competitive advantages. It applies to thought, perspective, experience, and most importantly to us, innovation. Because that’s the fuel that fires our imaginations.

As an organization, we are committed to fostering diverse viewpoints. We value the experiences, skills, and capabilities of people from every background, including our nation’s veterans. Like all truly diverse teams, we adapt to meet the needs of our customers and our team members.

If you want to see diversity and inclusion in action, explore our employee resource groups to learn how we support our employees and their families. Review our diversity employee story videos to understand how we channel all of the exceptional talents, insights, and ideas that empower our continued success. Learn how we use the valuable skills and lessons our military veterans have to offer to build an even stronger, more resilient team that is ready to grow and succeed.

Community Outreach

Our longstanding commitment to giving back is one of the best reasons to join Saint-Gobain. As an organization dedicated to bringing well-being to people by creating great living spaces and improving daily life, we feel a special responsibility to help those who need it most within the communities where we live and work.

We certainly have the people power and resources to make it happen, and you can help. What if you used your green thumb to create a garden that contributes much-needed food to a local community? What if you used your hands to build needed structures as well as confidence in people who could use a bit of hope? What if you were part of a team that sets a positive example for children, providing leadership and support? Join us at Saint-Gobain, and you won’t have to wonder “what if?” You’ll know what’s possible. These are but a few of the efforts we make to build our local communities:

THE SAINT-GOBAIN CORPORATION FOUNDATION

The Saint-Gobain Corporation Foundation provides financial support for charities and educational institutions through plant community gifts, matching gifts, and direct grants programs to communities throughout North America. This program provides nearly $1 million in funding to hundreds of non-profits annually, and Saint-Gobain employees donate food, clothing and toys. They also volunteer time for community work parties, walkathons, and food drives.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

We’ve built powerful, creative partnerships with a variety of people and programs that achieve real results and uplift lives. Here are some of the ways we get involved:

YouthBuild USA

We donate funds, building materials, and employee volunteer hours to projects in Worcester, Philadelphia, Schenectady, and Canton.

United Way of Central Massachusetts

Saint-Gobain offers ongoing support and a leadership role in the community.

Girls Inc. of Worcester

For this local non-profit, we donated all the supplies and labor needed to refinish a gymnasium floor and our Women’s Network participated in events and mentoring programs.

Support for our local Fire and Police Departments

Employees of our plants have donated hazmat protective garments to their community hazmat teams, provided meals for local emergency response and also allowed access for local fire departments to train on a variety of response efforts.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Making the world a better place requires a consistent commitment on the part of everyone: Individuals, communities, governments, and corporations throughout every industry. At Saint-Gobain, we consider this a part of our mission to improve the quality of the human experience where people live, work, play, move, and heal. For this reason, we take extraordinary measures to ensure that with every action, we are mindful of our impact upon the people, places, and things that matter to all of us.
