What’s the job?

The primary purpose of the Sales Training Manager is to lead and drive the strategic development, implementation, and management of comprehensive sales training programs. By equipping our sales force with essential skills, product knowledge, and effective selling techniques, the Sales Training Manager significantly contributes to elevating sales team performance, customer engagement, and revenue generation. This role exists to foster a culture of continuous learning, empower sales professionals at all levels, and ultimately propel the company's growth and market success through the most professional sales organization in the industry.

  • Act as the dotted line manager for Associate Territory Managers (ATMs), providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Assist Regional Sales Managers (RMs) in setting goals and providing training for ATMs during their initial 6-12 months in role after transitioning from inside sales team.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales training strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Design training curriculum, materials, and programs to address diverse skill levels and sales roles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate product knowledge and selling techniques into training content.
  • Develop and implement skill training initiatives, including negotiations, public speaking, selling fundamentals, and time management, for sales employees at all levels.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the sales training team.
  • Participate with the Inside Sales Manager to identify potential future talent for the Associate Territory Manager (ATM) role.
  • Participate in the recruiting process for new sales team members, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience and providing training to accelerate their integration into the team

Required Qualifications

 

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required - Business Administration, Human Resources, Education or related field
  • Master’s Degree Preferred - Or relevant professional certifications in Training and Development, Organizational Development, or a similar discipline preferred
  • 12+ years experience in a sales/selling organization preferred
  • 7+ years experience in a sales or consultative selling position minimum of 5 years in a training or learning and development capacity.
