As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will play a key role in supporting the Manufacturing Department's processes and procedures for producing silicone molded components and tubing for medical devices using injection molding machines. You will have a direct impact on high-volume product lines and be responsible for maintaining high output and quality levels while supporting new production cells.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Design and implement continuous improvement projects to optimize manufacturing processes and increase productivity.
  • Identify areas for automation and work with the Development Center and Automation & Industrialization teams to implement new programs and capital equipment.
  • Improve machine efficiencies and lead projects through completion of WCM Green Belt, Six Sigma projects, and WCM cost-saving projects.
  • Provide daily support for manufacturing processes and lead or participate in customer calls.
  • Design and implement automation solutions for both silicone and plastic injection molding machines to increase productivity and improve quality.
  • Lead corrective action implementation programs and assist the Quality Assurance team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field (Required)
  • 3+ years’ Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (Required)
  • Experience working closely with manufacturing operations and leading projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;  Ability to facilitate management and team meetings
  • High degree of analytical and critical thinking, independent judgment, and discretion
  • WCM or Green Belt experience; 5S or Lean experience
  • Strong process and manufacturing engineering skills; including process diagnostic capability with a record of process cost savings
