What’s the job?

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Rep will work in close conjunction with the Territory Manager’s to manage all accounts and prospects with in the channel designated by the business. The position will implement and execute the sales strategy, established by the VP of Sales, and create differentiation by providing superior support and service.

Typical activities include but are not limited to: outbound phone calls to existing accounts, prospecting new customers, working internally with customer service to match partial truckloads, proactive sales of slow moving material, daily reporting of sales feedback and opportunity tracking through Salesforce.com, and lead qualification and distribution to appropriate sales person(s). 

The position will occasionally require travel to sales meetings and key customer visits as needed allowing CertainTeed Residential and Technical products become the preferred choice.

  • Generate sales activity through outbound call campaigns to existing customers.
  • Prospect new customers.
  • Daily reporting of sales feedback through salesforce.com.
  • Provide remote sales assistance to the Territory Manager’s as directed to generate additional revenue
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for continued business development with the targeted inside sales accounts.
  • Establish and coordinate regular client contact.
  • Negotiate conflicting interests as they arise and seek mutually beneficial problem resolution.
  • Work internally with customer service to match partial truckloads and order fulfillment.
  • Proactively promote the sales of slow moving material.

Required Qualifications

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of 3 years’ related inside or outside sales experience.
  • Must possess strong organizational and follow through skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong motivations, interpersonal skills, and the ability to strategize and plan sales activities to meet sales and marketing objectives are needed.
  • Salesforce.com, SAP, Qlikview knowledge is a plus
