Job Summary

Role and Responsibilities

This employee must demonstrate core skills, which include understanding company safety policies, adherence to the SGC Principles of Conduct and Action guidelines, as well as, the five SGC Attitudes. Also 5-S requirements, sustaining the process and general housekeeping guidelines are required. This person is responsible for the traffic flow in & out to insure a safe path way for our employees and trucks. This position will include the accurate receiving of Raw Materials. The normal operating duties are listed below and can change depending on unforeseen circumstances or are assigned by supervision for the success of the operation.

  • Receive all Raw Materials Accurately within the SAP guidelines to support production
  • Ensuring to meet legal requirements for outbound movements including weights and USMCA laws.
  • Work directly with warehouse personnel in confirmation and accuracy of shipping documents.
  • Must have all Bill of Ladings signed & retain copy for our records.
  • Log all inbound loads to include truck, trailer, BOL number & weight on Raw Material/Truck Log Form
  • Direct inbound LTL trucks and communicate with shipping department, plus maintain traffic flow
  • Communicate on 2-way radio or by phone to Lab personnel when raw material trucks arrive for proper unloading location
  • Maintain daily raw material logs vs. receipts
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • Able to work independent or with a team.
  • Must be able to work 12 hours shifts, lift 50 lbs. on an as needed basis over a normal workday and climb ladders safely.
  • Must have the ability to cover employees on vacation in this position and work weekends and major holidays when scheduled.
  • Help manage the 5S program within the Shipping Department, parking lots and delivery areas.

Shift: 3rd: 7:00pm-7:00am

Compensation: $19.26

Required Qualifications

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Minimum education High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate instructions, correspondence and memos.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to effectively use Microsoft Office including Excel/Word and email
Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance and hand-eye coordination.
