Senior Systems Engineer – Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV)

The Senior Systems Engineer has primary responsibility for:

  • requirements definition and change management,
  • software selection/specification for layout, commissioning, and customer portal
  • interoperability of mechanical, electrical, and software components
  • external testing management,
  • system level UL certification,
  • manage development of product documentation including installation manuals,
  • material and prototype inventory management,
  • system cost and BOM management.

The position is located in Northboro, MA, about 45mins outside of Boston.  Some domestic travel (up to 20%) expected. 


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in electrical, software, mechanical or other related discipline
  • 3+ years systems engineering of systems with multiple software and hardware components
  • 3+ years new product development experience
  • 3+ years hardware and software specification development, management and tracking
  • experience managing external software development contracts preferred
  • experience with solar system analysis and layout software preferred
  • knowledge of UL standards for photovoltaic systems preferred
