The Account Manager position requires relationship building, communication and negotiating skills coupled with a working technical knowledge of the business and products. The Account Manger will focus on assigned accounts, market or region, and supporting the various product lines and customers.  The incumbent must understand the customer’s needs and requirements, both short term and long term. He/she must also work internally to coordinate efforts across multiple functional departments to understand current issues in order to proactively communicate with customers.

The incumbent must have knowledge of markets and the market evolution.  He/she must also have an understanding of the competitive landscape in order to work with supervisor to make pricing decisions, develop negotiation strategies and support the business with strategic programs to improve our competitive position. He/she also needs to be technically oriented and able to learn product application, technology, and process.

He/she must develop both analytical information and strategic matrices to support the yearly strategic plans, and specific actions to profitably grow the business, as well as the sales data forecasts needed for yearly budgets.

The incumbent has full accountability and leadership in the strategic business development and the profitable growth of the account base, market or region.  The incumbent must be capable of managing multiple small scale or low complexity programs with customers to introduce new products thru co-development. The incumbent must possess ability to develop solutions to customer and organizational challenges, and demonstrate advanced problem solving capabilities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's' Degree in Business or Related Field is Required 

MBA or Equivalent is Preferred

3+ Years of Account Management Required

3+ Years of Experience in Supporting Technical Products Required

Additional Description

Ability to manage multiple small scale or low complexity programs to support key business initiatives while driving sales growth.

Market analysis and strategy development.

Solution driven and strong problem solving capabilities.

Demonstrated team leadership ability. 

Developing skills in contract negotiation and pricing.

Collaboration skills and the ability to influence and earn trust across multiple functional departments is essential.

Experience in the Aerospace market would be preferred.
