What’s the Job?

Pricing: Maintain consistency and accuracy in pricing materials

  • Price Book, Bid Center Pricing Tools, Vendor Costs, Manufacturing Costs, Excel assistance
  • Quoting Models in ERP system, SAP.

Product Management: Provide product standards based on manufacturing & learned limitations

  • Facilitate internal and external communication

Administrative Support: Support colleagues and senior leadership team with context and reporting

  • Reporting, training, and company historical context

Pricing: Maintain consistency and accuracy in pricing materials

  • Price Book: Quarterly (or more depending on certain factors), revise and update official list of parts and pricing, based on cost updates from purchasing or manufacturing departments.
  • Cost Update: Quarterly (or more depending on certain factors), review raw material costs with purchasing department and manufacturing costs with manufacturing departments.
  • Pricing Tools: Create and maintain calculations – using formulas – for deriving and building list price for both Price Book and Bid Center Excel tools (e.g. Plank + Tile Calculator).
  • Work with Estimating Manager to identify and correct errors in price list and other pricing tools.
  • Facilitate – along with Estimating Manager – roll out of new quoting configurator(s) in ERP system, SAP.

Product Management: Provide product standards based on manufacturing & learned limitations

  • Establish and maintain consistent product information, including finishes, perforations, dimensions, applications, and/or engineering restrictions, as needed.
  • House and distribute standard product information, especially changes. Changes are to be communicated internally to relevant departments and externally, if necessary, to sales representatives and to customers. Devise plans when product changes are necessary and compose communications to relevant groups.
  • Coordinate/facilitate product launches for estimating team – along with Estimating Manager – liaising between departments to meet launch date goals. Product launch readiness includes: lead times, cost information, price information, and market opportunity.
  • When products or finishes are discontinued, interview purchasing or engineering experts to understand the extent of product limitations and provide justification for removal.

Administrative Support: Support colleagues and senior leadership team with context and reporting

  • Reporting: Collection and presentation of data in numerical or visible/digestible format, as needed. Often combines visual design, programming, mathematic, and communication skills to summarize information intelligibly.
  • Training: Assist with training team on use of software, especially excel Pricing Tools and ERP configurator(s). Demonstrate and instruct use of quoting tools to new hires, managers, or other interested parties.
  • History: Cite company or product context when changes are being discussed, providing documentation when available for historical decisions.

Required Qualifications

What do you bring?



Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, finance, marketing, and/or construction related field. Relevant work experience will be considered as well in lieu of degree

Understanding of metal manufacturing process is a plus.

3-5 years experience in cost-plus pricing and/or cost accounting.

Experience with ERP software, SAP preferred.

Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Index Match)
