Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION: The DIY/Retail Sales Representative candidate for this established Abrasives and Adhesives territory requires an individual with high energy who is self-motivated along with a demonstrated track record of success in sales. This Sales Representative within DIY/Retail will be responsible for selling DIY/Contractor retail products and programs to distributors and dealers in the Paint, Hardware and Retail locations in the Southern California, Arizona and Nevada markets. Key activities include demonstrating our superiority in products through hands on demonstrations at contractor job-sites, contractor training events/trade shows, and warehouse distribution branches, with the principal objective of increasing sales and market share by selling new product assortments and driving sales through dealers by winning contractor support for Saint-Gobain Abrasives and Adhesives. Responsibilities- The Sales Representative will be responsible for: • Selling complete abrasive solutions and planograms • Distributor and Dealer Account Management • Successfully manage long-term planning, tracking, and reporting of all account activities • Conduct prospecting sales calls • Hands on product demonstrations at contractor job-sites, training events, & trade shows • Principal objective of increasing sales and market share

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Competencies: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing • 3-5 years of proven track record of commensurate professional experience • Ability to coordinate, communicate, and interact with all stakeholder levels both internally and externally • Excellent oral and written communication, with strong presentation acumen • Intermediate to advanced skillset in Microsoft Office programs, with extreme literacy in Microsoft Excel • Experience in Salesforce or similar CRM platform preferred • Strong work ethic with high degree of self-discipline • 40-50% travel • Valid Driver’s License
