The Sales Supervisor requires a driven individual with high energy, who is self-motivated with a demonstrated track record of success. This position is responsible for the full range of sales activities related to finding solutions for end users primarily in the welding, metal fabrication, and construction markets. The candidate would work closely with traditional welding and construction distributors, as well as 2 well known national distributors. Key measures of performance are sales vs. set targets, profitability, relationship building, proposing and implementing sales growth programs, and uncovering, developing and growing new opportunities. In addition, this position acts as the technical resource for a focused team of rep agents. Territory geography encompasses the southern 2/3’s of Indiana, the western half of Kentucky, and the adjacent eastern counties in Illinois on the Indiana state line.
Interested candidates should have proven sales record managing either a geographical industrial accounts or Specific End User accounts. Strong technical background in Coated Abrasives, portal grinding with resin wheels (cut-off and weld grinding), and Surface Finishing is preferred. Very good problem solving and organizational skills are desired. The incumbent should have an undergraduate degree in business or an engineering discipline, or comparable work experience. This position requires a person who is highly motivated, is a team player, and is capable of managing a complex territory with limited supervision. A minimum of 2 years of value-added technical sales experience in abrasive applications would be very desirable attributes for individuals who are interested in this position. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM/Salesforce, web applications, documenting cost savings, and other forms of data analysis is necessary.
