Job Summary

Saint-Gobain, a Global Top Employer, is looking for a Part-Time Receptionist

9am - 3pm Monday-Friday


Scope: Operate telephone console, giving routine information to the public, greeting customers/visitors and performing clerical tasks.


  • Receive and route calls, provide general information, take messages, maintain visitor/contractor log books.
  • Greet guests, inform appropriate parties of their arrival, provide safety vest, glasses and safety shoes.
  • Update internal phone directory as needed.
  • Enter data for new part numbers into QAD computer system when requested.
  • Responsible for yearly Safety Shoe distribution.
  • Assist Supply Chain, Human Resources and other departments as needed.
  • Process incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Order office and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining company calendar.
  • Collect and sort shipping documents for Customer Service on daily basis.
  • Coordinate lunch for management/supervisor staff meetings, customer visits or plant events.
  • Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operational efficiency                  and safety.
  • Maintain necessary records as required by SOPs and work instructions.
  • Participate in the annual Physical Inventory as directed by supervisor.
  • Clean and maintain work area as required.
  • Distribute weekly staff schedule.
  • Coordinate keys, gas cards for company vehicles & maintain books.
  • File/scan copies of all related sales order documents.
  • Participate in self-development and training of others.
  • Perform other related duties as required or as directed by supervisor.
  • Exhibits safety awareness and safe work practices.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one-year experience as receptionist or office administrator.
  • Able to operate independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Able to read and follow SOPs labels and instructions.
  • Familiar with facility organizational structure and product lines.
  • Able to operate department specific equipment.
