Job Summary

Meldin® and Hycomp® are the 2 brands of Omniseal solutions, for high temperature polymer materials product family. These polyimides based material are used in a large variety of high tech markets as Aerospace, Semiconductor or Life sciences to make mechanical and wear & friction components. Compare to metallic solutions, these materials have a value proposition, based on weight saving, self-lubricating properties and large chemical compatibility.

The Value development project leader, as part of the Value Development team is a marketing position covering different missions such as:

  • Working closely with market managers of clusters to introduce a value added approach of targeted market segment. To execute this task, the role requires:
    •  A technical background for a good understanding of BU product portfolio capabilities and the targeted applications, plus a good analytical skill for market segmentations and dynamics,
    • A good sense of analysis of the competitive environment to lead benchmarking studies and determine differential value added offered by our solutions, both in terms of tangible and intangible benefits and
    • a good analytical skill of economical drivers to understand cost structure and pricing strategy to develop for the product line.
  • As part of the value development team: you will lead and participate to some missions aiming at developing a superior product offering by
    • Leveraging entire product portfolio of the BU in existing market
    • Creating new product proposal combining different capabilities of the business,
  • And having WW responsibility and global expertise of a product line: you will become the product «referent » and will have to communicate and explain this expertise through the business, with the goal of bringing our commercial teams to a high level of awareness about our offer and capabilities, and the capacity of developing a dialog with customers based on value offered by our solutions. You will also lead and manage some more traditional product management for the selected product line, as certification, training, support to commercial teams for customer’s visits, etc…

This position has no direct reports and requires an individual who has proficient interpersonal skills to achieve results by cooperation. Projects to be led by this person can be local, regional or international, and can require coordination work with different departments (Sales, R&D, operations, etc…). High level project management skill will be needed for this position


Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics or other market development related field is required - MBA in Marketing Strategies, Dynamics and Segmentation preferred.

Five years plus experience in global business and market development in either sales or marketing function required. Two years plus experience in previous sales, R&D experience and/or product development and product management experience preferred.

Must have a technical understanding of the products and their applications as well as knowledge of common product management practices, procedures and analytical methodologies.  Project Management training and/or experience preferred along with knowledge of Polymeric Materials and Processing Technologies.


Additional Description

This position will require the individual who has proficient interpersonal skills to achieve results by cooperation.  The individual will need to interface with a wide range of individuals, internally, externally, domestic and internationally.   The incumbent will present findings and recommendations to the stakeholder audiences and must be able to influence key stakeholders on the validity and value of actions.

In addition, this position is both market and product oriented and requires a self-motivated individual who, under the guidance of the manager, can evaluate market situations and understand to quickly bring our product offer to a higher competitiveness level
