Material Handler - 1st Shift

Position Description

Job Summary

The purpose of the Material Handler position is to move and track physical material flow through the facility. Work closely with Production Leads to ensure they are supplied with the materials they need to allow efficient operation of equipment to meet daily safety, quality, and production goals. Report to work on each scheduled day and assist with training or other duties assigned by Supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and execute systematic material usage for the facility.
  2. Execute systematic transactions to move and track physical material flow through the facility, driving inventory accuracy.
  3. Effectively communicate problems to operators, Production Leads, Supervisors, and other resources and provide input to help make jobs run more efficiently.
  4. Establish best practices and coach applicable inventory methods to facilitate optimal material movement and inventory accuracy.
  5. Fill orvus tanks when empty. Mix orvus paste with osmosis water.
  6. Ensure proper storage, movement, and allocation of HAZMAT materials.
  7. Move all released materials from receiving dock to warehouse locations.
  8. Manage waste flow and inventory throughout the facility.
  9. Monitor and replenish production supply inventory locations.
  10. Monitor and replace cleanroom sanitation supplies.
  11. Ensure required department equipment is ready for subsequent shift use.
  12. Work in a safe, clean, and efficient manner.
  13. Other jobs assigned by supervisor.

Physical Demands:

  1. Physical demands include walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling of objects, lifting and moving objects (weighing up to 40 lbs.).

The 1st Shift schedule runs 6:30am - 2:30pm Monday to Friday with a paid lunch period.
