Business Manager-APS Metal Seals (Truck and Race Cars)

Position Description

Job Summary

This position is commercially focused, providing strategic and tactical guidance to the APS team around metal seals.

You will develop and implement a business strategy and execute through coaching and leading the APS Metal Seals Team, to support the strategy and to achieve the growth targets, coordinating the activity of a multi-functional team by identifying new opportunities of development especially in new drive systems for Trucks and influencing the priorities within APS Metal Seals Team and inside APS.

There is significant complexity in this role to develop a global strategy that takes in account the specificity of the region and local markets (different regulations on regulated markets, confidentiality, pricing policies, etc…). This is a real challenge for the candidate to maintain a consistent, although flexible approach while dealing with Key Accounts. The strategy, summarizes into a “business canvas” that will tackle all dimensions (from product development to sales, through marketing activities, engineering, supply chain and operations).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Technical Engineering required, MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience of senior autonomous roles, (Technical/Commercial and highly analytical) required.
  • 5+ years of mid-senior experience and a hybrid set of skills
  • 5+ years of experience in the Automotive market required.

Additional Description

The role requires excellent communication and team building skills - ability to build strong relationships, drive accountability, challenge assumptions and provide support and resources for improvement in all aspects of the manufacturing process.  The incumbent should have a proven ability to foster and establish  effective working relationships with the engineering management team, employees, R&D and key corporate contacts with a strong desire to serve and satisfy customers and collaborators.
