The Inside Sales Representative serves as primary commercial contact for certain direct customers, and designated prospective customers.  This role will have the responsibility for managing and achieving an assigned sales budget with specific customers, responding to commercial, technical, and application questions, and proactively engaging customers with the intent of creating greater customer intimacy, providing higher levels of service and support, and identifying and generating new sales.   

The role will involve multi-tasking on many different levels in a commercial/sales capacity for the Fluid Transfer Solutions (FTS) business.  The role will be an integral part of the direct sales organization.  Major objectives will be to close new business opportunities, creating, measuring, and maintaining customer data, formally reporting results and customer feedback on our products and services, and helping to develop new sales in targeted markets.  An employee in this position must focus on customers' expectations, responding rapidly to inquiries, preventing and solving problems, and enlisting the support of the cross-function team when needed.

Essential Functions

  • Proactively manage portfolio of customers in order to both maintain and grow sales, but also provide tailored support.
  • Identify and foster opportunities for new product sales at existing and prospective new accounts.
  • Maximize annual sales budgets for designated accounts and act as liaison between customers, business resources, and manufacturing sites.

Required Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience Inside sales or Customer Service selling experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and change work schedule due to competing and changing priorities
  • Self-Starter with ability (and desire) to work autonomously and remotely at times

  • 3-5 years’ experience with Technical Products or Plastics Field (Knowledge of Filtration products and applications a plus) preferred.
