This position is responsible for the full range of account management activities associated with selling and servicing a $1.5M growth oriented welding and construction market territory comprised of end use customers from diverse market segments including strong dominance from metal fabrication and general contractor channels. A thorough understanding of PSP (value analysis) is desired for this territory. The candidate would work closely with independent and nationally known welding distribution, as well as 2 well-known national industrial distributors. Territory geography encompasses southwestern and central Ohio, eastern Kentucky, western West Virginia, and Ohio River border counties in Indiana.
Interested candidates should have proven sales record managing either a geographical industrial accounts or Specific End User accounts. Strong technical aptitude in Thin Wheels, Coated, Surface Finishing, and Bonded abrasives as well as very good organizational skills is required. The incumbent should have an undergraduate degree in business or an engineering discipline, or comparable work experience in wholesale distribution or manufacturing. This position requires a person who is highly motivated and a problem-solver, who relates well with others, and is capable of managing a complex territory with limited supervision. A minimum of 2 years of value-added technical sales experience in all abrasive applications is strongly desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, web applications, PSP, contact management and other forms of data analysis is necessary.
This territory offers both metropolitan and open-country options with an abundance of choices in this area. Fine dining or quiet casual dining; professional and college sports or thoroughbred horse racing; upscale city shopping or country crafts are all there. Southwestern Ohio and Kentucky are very picturesque areas with beautiful hills and valleys, mild winters, a low cost of living with affordable housing, and top-notch healthcare access.
