Position Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the full range of account management activities associated with selling and servicing a $2.25M growth oriented territory comprised of end use customers from diverse market segments: aerospace, gear, precision engineering, cutting tools, foundry, and general metalworking. The candidate would work closely with traditional industrial distributors, integrators, and national distributors. Territory geography encompasses west central Indiana and the adjacent counties on the Illinois state line.


Required Qualifications

Interested candidates should have proven sales record managing either a geographical industrial accounts or Specific End User accounts. Strong technical background in Bonded, Superabrasives, Coated, and Surface Finishing, as well as very good organizational skills is required.  The incumbent should have an undergraduate degree in business or an engineering discipline, or comparable work experience.  This position requires a person who is highly motivated, is a team player, and is capable of managing a complex territory with limited supervision.  A minimum of 2 years of value added technical sales experience in all abrasive applications would be very desirable attributes for individuals who are interested in this position.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, web applications, PSP, contact management and other forms of data analysis is necessary.

This territory offers access to nearby metropolitan and open-country amenities.  Affordable overall cost of living with easy access to metropolitan areas exist throughout the area. Fine dining, upper-scale shopping, and deer hunting can easily be had in the same weekend.  Professional and D1 college sports are omni-present and is a true driver of commerce in central Indiana, not to mention the world famous annual Indy 500.  The Indianapolis area has many things to offer including affordable housing and access to top-notch healthcare access.  Business in this area is currently healthy, developing, and growing.
