Position Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing the quote to cash process for the Poestenkill site.  The CSR works directly all day with the customer, sales team, and internal partners to ensure quotes, requests for product specifications and customer purchase orders are entered timely and accurately.  The CSR monitors the status throughout the quote/build/order lifecycle and communicates to all parties anything at risk to help drive proactive resolution.  The CSR ensures all key decision making parties at that site (Quality / Engineering / Applications / Supply Chain / Credit, etc.) respond promptly in order that he/she can meet the needs of the customer.

Actively promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings. 

The Poestenkill, NY manufacturing site is part of Saint-Gobain’s Fluid Systems Business Unit providing fluid transfer solutions for medical devices, closure systems, analytical equipment and bioprocesses.   LabPure®, CHEMWARE®, VERSILIC® and other products are manufactured at the Poestenkill plant See us at http://www.labpure.com

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree in business, marketing or related filed required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Essential Functions of the Position:

SAFETY:  Active participant in site Safety Events including safety stand-down initiatives, monthly meetings, monthly SMATs, and contributing five other targeted safety annual improvements.

ORDER ENTRY:  Owns and manages the accurate entry of customer purchase orders within 24 hours of receipt for a specific subset of customers, including contract review, sales order creation, and sales order acknowledgement to the customer.

ORDER MANAGEMENT:  Owns and manages proactive communication of sales order status for specific site supported customers.  Facilitates the expediting of orders at risk of missing our promise date by initiating communications and scheduling internal and customer meetings.  Proactively identifies orders at risk due to raw materials issues and HOLDs and escalates awareness to ensure resolution by self or appropriate partners.  May be required to transmit and monitor customer invoices as well as assist in customer communication in regards to past due payments.

QUOTE & PART BUILD SUPPORT:  Facilitates the communication between customer and Technical Services/Sales to ensure timely response on all RFQs, Part Build and information requests.  Meets deadlines and provides customer advance notice for parts still at risk.  Candidate also assists with annual price increase notifications and other production notifications.

PROJECTS / INITIATIVES:  Participates in continuous improvement opportunities that eliminate waste and improve customer responsiveness.   Documents processes and participates with others to experience positive change.  (Examples include primarily site-focused initiatives such as Lean Improvement Teams, Site Records Retention Procedure, PO Compliance, Customer Focus Teams, Sample Process.)
