This position is responsible for a full range of account management activities associated with developing, expanding and servicing a large, Weld/Con territory. Account base has significant competitive potential. Accounts are comprised of managing the largest Airgas region in the country, military vehicles, emergency vehicles, general metal fab and light industrial accounts. Collaboration with our distributor partners varies from large National organizations and buying group members to small independents. Territory accounts are demanding and require strategic, focused planning and execution. The candidate must be as comfortable testing a product with an operator as they are presenting a cost savings plan to a company president.
Possible residency locations Appleton, WI or Milwaukee, WI.
Interested candidates should have a proven sales growth record managing an array of national accounts and Specific End User accounts. Strong aptitude in Coated, Thin Wheel, Surface Finishing, CPD and some Bonded. Candidate must be organized, disciplined and an expert in Time and Territory management. Very good organizational skills are required. The incumbent should have an undergraduate degree in a business or engineering discipline. This position requires a person who is highly motivated, works well with others and is capable of managing a complex territory with limited supervision. A minimum of 5 years of value-added sales experience in all abrasive applications would be a very desirable attribute in an individual interested in this position. Bilingual in Spanish would be a plus. Proficiency in PSP, Microsoft office, CRM, web applications, contact management and other forms of data analysis is necessary.
This position resides in the heart of District 82. We are a close knit group that sets high expectations for one another. The salesperson should reside in the greater Milwaukee area or the Appleton, Wisconsin area. This will allow for easy access to the highways to travel West to Madison and Norton to the U.P. of Michigan. Milwaukee is a delightful city of neighborhoods which has seen a resurgence over the last five years including new downtown development centered around the Milwaukee Bucks NBA arena. Milwaukee is known for its festivals and seldom a weekend will pass without a large neighborhood or ethnic festival, including SummerFest. Appleton is a slice of middle America with wonderful schools and neighborhoods. Both are rated in top 100 cities to live. Wisconsin has an outdoor culture centered around the many lakes and rivers. It is known for its beer as well as a proclivity for cheese and tailgating regardless of the activity.
