The Distribution Sales Manager (DSM) will be responsible for top-line sales and commercial growth of designated distribution customers, ranging from traditional distributor, specialized distributor, catalog house, web-based specialist, to fabricating distributor. The sales focus for this role will be primarily for products and services sold under the Tygon and Versilon product categories.
The DSM manages the contractual relationship with Key Accounts as well as pricing strategy, promotional programs, new product roll-outs and other offers. The position will also help to coordinate distributor training programs and promote the usage of available digital tools. They are also the guardian of the rules of engagement under which distribution customers resell the Tygon and Versilon branded products.
The DSM can also be tasked to grow or transform the network of distributors in a given geography. They will work closely with management and Inside Sales to identify, coordinate, and facilitate the smooth transition of smaller distributor responsibility to the Inside Sales function. They will work closely with the Global Distribution Manager to develop their annual budget.
- Proactively manage Key Accounts through all aspects of contractual relationships, rules of engagement, pricing strategy, annual budget, new product roll-outs, promotional programs, stocking targets, training programs and usage of digital tools.
- Identify unmet needs, areas not covered by competition, new applications from Key Accounts' customers, and, more generally, all new opportunities to expand our offer of products, systems and solutions. Establish strategy with the Marketing organization.
- Work with digital and marketing communication specialists to promote the Tygon and Versilon brands through digital communication programs targeting Key Accounts and their customers.
- Grow and transform the network of distributors in the designated geography. Liaise with Inside Sales to coordinate the responsibility of smaller distribution accounts.
M.S. /MBA - Business Management, preferred.
B.S., required; Engineering or related field, preferred.
5+ years of consultative sales & business development experience, representing highly technical (engineered) products/processes with distribution customers.
Ability to Travel >50%
