The primary function of the Packaging Associate is to effectively package dry wall tape rolls, which includes wrapping, labeling, packaging, and placing on pallets. The incumbent must be able to maintain packaging as rolls move along the autopack line. With the assistance of the Lead Autopack Operator, the Packaging Associate assists with maintaining the efficiency of the Tri-Pak resistance wrap machine, Shanklin machine, multiple labelers, overwrap Easty Oven machine, Tray-former machine and Case Packer (referred to as Autopack Line).
Ability to package product rolls efficiently is required. Product requires an appropriate level of patience and decision making capability for operating under challenging demands. Accurately palletizing cases and ensuring precise production documentation.
Able to recognize quality defects in all product rolls and take appropriate actions. Ability to work unsupervised, efficiently, and safety is required. Knowledge of quality controls is required.
Ability to read, understand and execute all customer order specifications. Ability to recognize and verify accurate labels for each roll and/or customer.
