Job Summary

The Automotive Aftermarket (AA) channel has a great opportunity for an Automotive Application Technician (AAT) who will be directly responsible for providing high level customer support and training to the end user network. The AAT will work closely in supporting the efforts of the sales team by applying their skill, know-how, and experience in the areas of product performance and product application. The primary objective of the AAT is to be instrumental during the product conversion process and subsequent follow up required at these customers in a hands on capacity.  

The AAT will focus on key multi-shop operator (MSO) accounts to ensure we are meeting KPI’s by performing shop audits to ensure Saint-Gobain/RSG products are used correctly and SOPs are in compliance by reviewing data with shop and distributor management.

This position functions in a critical space to support growth initiatives and serves as a great opportunity to provide technical support while increasing market share. This position involves daily visits to multiple customers within a clearly defined geographic territory. While direction will be provided by the sales team and regional manager, candidate must be a self-starter with the proper skills to be productive and goal driven.  


Required Qualifications

Interested candidates should have prior application experience with a strong technical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and experience in automotive refinishing. Prior selling experience and bi-lingual communication is also a plus. The candidate should have at minimum, a High School Diploma. The preferred candidate should have a minimum of 5 years Collision Industry experience including all facets of the repair process; from Repair, to Prep, to Paint. Must be able to present and conduct hands on training at all customer levels. Experience with Microsoft Office, CRM and other forms of data management and analysis is a plus as training by the company will be provided. This position requires a self-starting, highly motivated, individual who works well in a team environment. Daily travel with some overnight stays required as necessary
